The Tour de Braz returns for its 33rd year as a premier Texas cycling tradition and an officially recommended MS 150 training ride. As the entities managing this event’s digital outreach, we are proud to highlight that all proceeds from this ride benefit the Alvin Volunteer Fire Department, supporting the brave individuals who serve the local community.
Starting at Alvin Community College, the ride offers a scenic tour through the beautiful Brazoria County countryside. Designed to be inclusive for the whole family and cyclists of all experience levels, the event emphasizes safety and community spirit. Please be aware that registration is strictly limited to ensure a high-quality experience for all participants.
Ride Distances & Routes
The Tour de Braz offers four distinct routes to accommodate various training goals and fitness levels:
- 100 Miles: A full century for advanced endurance riders.
- 67 Miles: A metric century, perfect for those training for the MS 150.
- 47 Miles: A vigorous intermediate route.
- 35 Miles: A scenic recreational distance.
- Route Access: All routes are professionally mapped to showcase the best of the coastal plains and rural landscapes.
Support and Logistics
Participant safety and support are the top priorities for this event:
- SAG Support: Full Support and Gear vehicles will patrol the course until 5:00 PM.
- Packet Pick-Up: Located at the Alvin College Student Center (Building E).
- Day of Ride: 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM.
- Note: You must bring your confirmation email with the QR code to receive your bib and shirt.
- Participant Caps: Registration is ONLINE ONLY and capped at 750 riders.
- Event Swag: Commemorative shirts are guaranteed only for the first 500 registrants.
Event Schedule
- 6:30 AM: Packet Pick-Up and check-in opens at the Student Center.
- 7:00 AM: Recommended arrival time to ensure you are ready for the start.
- 8:00 AM: Official Start Time (Ride begins sharp).
- 5:00 PM: SAG support officially ends.
