The Sloan Everett Pure Country Pedal Memorial Bike Ride is an annual event honoring Sloan Everett, a Texas rancher and man of faith who lost his life during a 2017 wildfire while protecting his family’s cattle.
This community-focused ride supports a meaningful cause, with 100% of net proceeds benefiting the Caddo, Hubbard Creek, and Wayland Volunteer Fire Departments in Stephens County. There are no fundraising minimums, just an opportunity to ride, remember, and give back.
Cyclists can choose from five route options ranging from 4 to 59 miles, making the event accessible for riders of all ages and abilities. Routes travel through the scenic Texas countryside and are fully marked to provide a safe and enjoyable experience.
Every registered participant aged 13 and older receives a commemorative 2026 event T-shirt and a post-ride BBQ lunch. Riders are welcomed back to the finish line with live music, great food, and the hospitality that has made this event a favorite among cyclists across Texas.
