About the Ride:
Join fellow cyclists for the 24th Annual International Ride of Silence, a silent and slow-paced community ride honoring cyclists who have been injured or killed on public roadways by motor vehicle drivers. Hosted by the Austin Ghost Bike Project and led by Social Cycling Austin along with members of the local cycling community, this meaningful event promotes awareness, remembrance, and safer roads for everyone.
The ride averages approximately 9–10 mph and follows a respectful, silent format throughout the event.
Event Schedule:
- Gather for a short program at 6:30 PM
- Wheels down at 7:00 PM
- Ride ends at Wooldridge Square around 8:30 PM
- Riders are encouraged to wear a white t-shirt
- Bring water and bike lights
- Please use restrooms before the ride begins
- No music, talking, or unsafe riding during the event
- Limited pedicabs may be available with donation
- Volunteers and donations are welcomed
