About the Ride:
The Positive Cycology Ride is the 2nd annual fundraising bike ride event to support The Art Room in Denton, a nonprofit art studio for people with mental health issues, https://theartroomdenton.org/. May is the month for mental health awareness, and National Bike Month, and we offer three bike rides to support the positive psychological benefits of both bike riding and art. The Positive Cycology Ride has three routes this year, an 8 mile leisure, family-friendly ride; a 27 mile experienced ride; and a 50 mile ride for the even more experienced rider. Check-in and day of registration will be in front of Stoke Coworking, 608 E. Hickory St., Ste. 128, Denton, TX 76205, and bathrooms as well as snacks will be provided. All rides start at the downtown Denton Railway Station, and go north and west on a more rural route, toward Krum and Ponder (see maps). There will be an end of the ride celebration and awards at East Side Denton, 117 E. Oak St, where we will gather for food (food trucks at your own expense) and drinks (East Side). Those who register before 5/11/24 will receive a free Positive Cyclogy Ride t-shirt and a beverage token for East Side. For the day-of-registration, riders will receive drink tickets for East Side, but t-shirts are not guaranteed and will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Starting Point for All Routes:
All routes start at the Stoke Coworking parking lot near the northern terminus of the
Denton County Transit Authority (DCTA Train) in Denton, Texas on Saturday May 18,
2024. Restrooms are available at the start inside the Stoke Coworking building.

The start times for the Positive Cycology Ride will be staggered, with the 50 mile ride starting first at 8:30 am; 27 mile ride, next, at 9:30 am; finally, the 8 mile ride will start at 10:30 am.

Rest and aid stations will be provided at the following locations:
- 8 mile route: ˜Mile 5 at Denia Park
- 27 mile route: ˜Mile 7 and 22 at C Wolfe road and Jim Christal road intersection
- 50 mile route: ˜Mile 18.5 and 34 at C Wolfe road and Jim Christal road intersection
SAG (Support and Gear) provided by an eBike support team.

In your on-line confirmation, we will provide download links to all routes
at ridewithgps.com. RidewithGPS does not require users to register or pay any
additional fees, freely permits downloading gpx & tcx format files to multiple
GPS-compatible cycling computers and is easy to update if/when routes
change. Registered riders can also use audible cues if they have a RidewithGPS
account, including a free-level account. - On the routes
Color-coded arrows matching the paper maps will be placed on the roads
before and at all turns. Note that in case of rain (or mischievous residents),
these can vanish.
