3rd Annual Panola Push Pedal Run
Organized by the Panola Chamber of Commerce in the scenic piney woods of deep East Texas
About the Ride
The 3rd Annual Panola Push Pedal Run is an endurance event organized by the Panola Chamber of Commerce, featuring both running and cycling activities in the scenic piney woods of deep East Texas. Each distance follows its own loop, starting and finishing at the Panola Chamber of Commerce in Carthage.
Cycling participants can choose from a 6-mile ride, a 30-mile ride, or a 100K bike ride and race. The event also includes a 1-mile run/walk and a 5K run/walk, making it a community event for participants with different fitness levels and interests.
The event provides a scenic, fully marked, and supported course, with aid-station food and hydration, photography, and encouraging volunteers. Riders on the 30-mile and 100K routes have access to a halfway aid station at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. A lead-out vehicle and SAG support are provided, and local police will assist at select intersections.
Helmets are required for cyclists, while bike lights and high-visibility clothing are strongly recommended. Participants can receive an event T-shirt, if ordered by October 7 to guarantee the shirt and size, and a finisher medal. First-place awards are available for male and female participants across all distances. The 100K bike race also offers cash awards of $150 for first place, $100 for second place, and $75 for third place in both male and female categories.
