About the Ride:
Central Texas Showdown 2026 is a multi-day cycling event in the Texas Hill Country, featuring several endurance and gravel-oriented categories. The main Showdown courses combine paved and unpaved roads, with GPS tracking required for most of the longer categories.

The Central Texas Showdown covers 501 miles with a route that is 25% unpaved and 75% paved. The Central Texas Slowdown covers 293 miles with the same 25% unpaved and 75% paved mix. Both also offer Singlespeed categories and require GPS tracking.

For riders looking for shorter distances, the Central Texas Lowdown covers 173 miles with 45% unpaved and 55% paved terrain, while the Central Texas Super Lowdown covers 89 miles with a 40% unpaved and 60% paved mix. GPS tracking is optional for these categories, and the event highlights group camping and a more relaxed atmosphere.

The weekend also includes the Gravél Throwdown on Sunday, featuring 60.9-mile and 32-mile options, along with the 24-mile Gravél Fundown for riders looking for a shorter and more fun-focused experience. The 60.9-mile Throwdown is positioned as a challenge against riders coming off the longer Showdown courses.

Camping and parking are available for purchase, and riders can also rent GPS tracking devices or use their own compatible device. The event offers volunteer opportunities in general support, rescue driving, and media, with volunteers receiving a free entry into a future ETS or CTS event.
