About the Ride

The 2027 Texas Chainring Massacre is a premier gravel cycling event that has served as a traditional kickoff to the Texas gravel racing season since 2010. Known for its challenging course and rugged Texas scenery, the event attracts competitive gravel cyclists and riders looking to test their endurance on unpaved roads.

All three route options start at 9:00 AM from 4321 I-35 in Gainesville, Texas. Because the routes primarily use public gravel roads, a standard road bike is not appropriate. Riders need equipment suited to rugged, unpaved terrain and must obey the Texas Transportation Code at all times because the roads remain open to vehicular traffic.

Spinistry Club members may qualify for registration discounts based on their membership level, subject to the event’s stated terms and availability.
