About the Ride:
TORS Race 4 – Sugarland is the fourth race weekend of the Texas Off-Road Series (TORS), a multi-weekend mountain bike racing series covering trails in the Houston, Austin, and DFW regions. The Sugarland weekend features two days of Cross-Country-style mountain bike racing, with series points awarded for both Saturday and Sunday races.
Saturday runs counter-clockwise from Brazos River Park. Riders will take on the Tower Loop, featuring fast terrain, banked berms, hip jumps, and plenty of opportunities for passing. Race categories include Beginner, Kids Comp, Citizen, Sport, and Elite.
Sunday reverses the course and runs clockwise, giving riders a different experience of the Sugarland trails. The course includes sections such as Mo’Skeeto and Missing Link, with fast racing, tight turns, and additional passing opportunities. Elite, Sport, Singlespeed, Citizen, Beginner, and Kids Comp categories are available.
The TORS series is designed to provide a competitive but family-friendly environment for riders of different experience levels. Beginner racing is intended as a casual introduction to mountain bike racing, while Citizen, Sport, and Elite categories provide progressively higher levels of competition. Reduced entry fees are available for beginners and kids, with women-specific fields also offered.
