A Ride on the Wild Side

Cycling the Legendary King Ranch for a Cause

Date: Saturday, April 25, 2026

Location: H.M. King High School, 2210 Brakeland Dr, Kingsville, TX 78363

Event Information

Celebrating its 21st year, A Ride on the Wild Side offers a cycling experience unlike any other in Texas. As contractors for this event, we are proud to highlight that this ride provides exclusive access to the legendary King Ranch. Participants begin their journey with a 10-mile stretch through the historic ranch lands before heading out to the scenic by-ways of Kleberg County.

The primary beneficiary of this event is the Texas Lions Camp for Children with Physical Disabilities. Since 1949, this camp has provided a life-changing, no-cost summer camp experience for over 85,000 children. By participating in this ride, you are directly supporting the Kingsville Noon Lions Club in their mission to empower these “special needs kiddos.”

Ride Distances & Routes

The event offers three paved route options to accommodate all skill levels:

  • 65 Miles: A full metric century for endurance riders looking to see the best of Kleberg County.
  • 35 Miles: A popular intermediate route through the local countryside.
  • 10 Miles: The signature “Ranch Loop,” perfect for families and novices who want to experience the King Ranch at a leisurely pace.
