A Scenic Journey Through the Norwegian Capital of Texas
Date: Saturday, May 16, 2026
Location: Clifton High School, 1101 N Avenue Q, Clifton, TX 76634
Event Information
The Clifton Chamber of Commerce invites you to the 14th annual Bosque Tour de Norway. As contractors for this event, we are proud to highlight its role as the second ride in the celebrated European Tour of Texas series. This ride is more than a cycling event; it is a rolling tour of Texas history. Riders will travel through the “Norse Settlement,” the final home of Cleng Peerson, known as the “Father of Norwegian Migration to America.”
The course winds through the beautiful, rolling hills of Bosque County—often called the “Top of the Hill Country.” Last year, the event welcomed over 350 riders to experience the panoramic views and deep-rooted heritage of this unique region.
European Tour of Texas Challenge
The Bosque Tour de Norway is a key component of the European Tour of Texas. Cyclists who complete three out of the four rides in the series are eligible for a custom commemorative jersey.
