Finish the Ride

Honoring the Legacy of Aaron Ross through Community and Sport

Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 8:00 AM

Location: Tulia High School, 501 Hornet Place, Tulia, TX 79088

Event Information

Finish the Ride is a deeply meaningful scholarship bike ride hosted by the communities of Tulia and Kress. The event was established to honor the memory of Aaron Ross, a 2009 Tulia High School graduate and passionate cyclist who tragically lost his life in 2011 during a training ride. Now in its 15th year, the rally serves as both a celebration of Aaron’s life and a vital fundraiser for local students. To date, the event has awarded 29 scholarships, with three $1,000 scholarships planned for the 2026 recipients.

Cyclists will experience the flat, expansive landscape of the Texas Panhandle, characterized by wide-open farming communities and quiet country roads. The ride is famous for its friendly atmosphere, where local volunteers provide exceptional hospitality. All proceeds from the event go directly toward the Aaron Ross Scholarships at Tulia High School and Kress High School, ensuring that Aaron’s passion for learning and cycling continues to benefit the next generation.
