A Summer Cycling Tradition in the Heart of Waxahachie
Date: Saturday, June 27, 2026
Location: 405 W. Madison St, Waxahachie, TX 75165
Event Information
The Wheels of Fire Bike Ride returns for its 6th annual edition, offering a high-energy summer cycling experience through the scenic landscapes of Ellis County. Starting and ending at the popular Railport Brewing Company in historic Waxahachie, this ride has become a staple for North Texas cyclists who enjoy a challenging route followed by a festive community atmosphere.
This ride is dedicated to supporting two vital local causes. Proceeds benefit the John Wilson Foundation, which provides essential support for firefighters, and the Ellis A&M Club, which funds annual scholarships for Ellis County high school students attending Texas A&M University. By participating, riders contribute directly to the safety of first responders and the education of future leaders in the community.
Ride Distances
Wheels of Fire features three distinct routes that cater to a variety of skill levels, each offering the rolling hills and beautiful vistas characteristic of the Waxahachie area:
- 62 Miles (Metric Century): The most demanding option, featuring challenging climbs designed for experienced endurance riders.
- 51 Miles: A solid intermediate route that provides a thorough workout through the Ellis County countryside.
- 22 Miles: A shorter, accessible route perfect for recreational riders and those new to organized rallies.

The event is well-supported to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. Riders should note the following schedule:
