A High-Energy Stationary Cycling Event in Downtown Dallas
Date: Thursday, April 30, 2026
Location: AT&T Discovery District, 308 South Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75202
Event Information
Dallas CycleNation is an invigorating community experience hosted by the American Heart Association (AHA). This event brings together local leaders, corporations, and fitness enthusiasts to pedal for a purpose: ending stroke and heart disease. Set in the vibrant, high-tech atmosphere of the AT&T Discovery District, the event serves as a platform to raise awareness and vital funds for cardiovascular research and community education.
Unlike traditional road rallies, CycleNation is a stationary cycling relay and fitness celebration. Participants ride to show their commitment to brain and heart health, honoring those who have been affected by stroke and heart disease while funding the next generation of life saving medical breakthroughs. It is more than just a workout; it is a movement that empowers the Dallas community to stay active and take charge of their health.
Participation and Fundraising
To participate in Dallas CycleNation, riders are encouraged to form or join teams and engage in peer to peer fundraising. The event is designed for all fitness levels, focusing on the shared energy of the group rather than competitive speed.
- Fundraising Minimums: To support the mission, individual riders generally aim for a minimum of $250, while teams often set goals of $1,000 or more.
- Team Structure: Teams often consist of corporate coworkers, friends, or family members who rotate on the bikes throughout the event sessions.
- The Experience: Participants enjoy a high energy environment with music, instructors, and a community of supporters all riding toward the same goal.
Event Logistics and Support
The organizers ensure a professional and supportive atmosphere for all attendees. Because the event takes place in the heart of downtown Dallas, specific logistics are in place to assist participants:
- What to Wear: Activewear and comfortable athletic shoes are encouraged.
- Hydration: Water and light snacks are typically provided at hydration stations throughout the district.
- Parking: Complimentary self-parking is available at the 1212 Jackson Street garage. Validation is typically provided through district merchants at the Exchange Food Hall or Cowboy Chow.
- Timeframe: The main festivities and riding sessions generally occur in the late afternoon and evening, typically between 4:30 PM and 7:30 PM.

Participants can register as individuals or as part of a team. Early registration is recommended to begin fundraising efforts and to participate in the “Move More” challenges leading up to the main event.
