Event Information

Welcome to the 1st Annual Piney Woods Quad County Challenge—a thrilling cycling adventure through the heart of East Texas! This unique challenge blends elevation with navigation as riders challenge themselves to collect as many counties as they can.

You will experience the stunning beauty of the Piney Woods countryside, conquer backcountry roads and highways, tackle demanding hill climbs, and skirt the serene shores of our gorgeous lakes. This is an excellent opportunity for cyclists of all levels to challenge themselves while taking in the scenic views.

The Challenge Routes

Whether you are seeking a fast tour or a full metric century challenge, we have a distance for you:

  • 20-Mile Du Challenge: A great introductory ride through the countryside.
  • 40-Mile Tri Challenge: Perfect for experienced riders looking for a moderate challenge.
  • 62-Mile Quad Challenge (Metric Century): The full distance, offering the best opportunity to experience the four-county navigation challenge.

How many counties can you claim this year? Grab your bike and join the hunt!

Event Cause: Supporting Local Students

This event isn’t just about the ride—it’s about the impact. All proceeds will benefit the William Foster Lodge Scholarship Fund, which has proudly supported graduating seniors from Frankston ISD and La Poynor ISD for many years. With your participation, we aim to provide scholarships to eight or more students this year, helping them pursue college or trade school dreams through the power of community and cycling.
