About the Ride:
Join the 29th Annual Vernon Burnin’ Bike Ride—a fun and challenging event designed to help cyclists prepare for the Hotter-N-Hell ride in Wichita Falls the following weekend. The event offers several route options including 12, 22, 33, and 62 kilometers, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced riders.
The ride will begin at 7:30 AM from the Vernon College campus. Rest stops and SAG support will be available along the routes. The first 100 pre-registered riders are guaranteed a free T-shirt.
Packet Pickup and Late Registration:
- Friday, August 15: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the King Physical Education Center, Vernon College
- Saturday, August 16: Starting at 6:00 AM at the same location
Included with Packet:
- Free event T-shirt (guaranteed for first 100 pre-registered participants)
- Course map and rider goodies
Support and Safety:
- Well-marked routes with controlled intersections
- Rest stops every ~10 miles stocked with water, ice, sports drinks, fruit, and cookies
- SAG support for transportation only (no mechanical repairs)
