About the Ride: The 11th annual Moritz Ride for Heroes will be on April 20, 2013. The start and finish lines are on the Aledo High School campus ( view Google Map). We have six scenic routes, ranging from 8 miles through 73 miles. And since the ride is in mid-April, Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes should be in bloom! Your entry fee includes a post ride lunch of grilled hamburger or hot dog, chips, and drinks.
The annual Moritz Chevrolet Ride for Heroes supports those organizations that protect and serve and make Eastern Parker County a better place to live. Proceeds from the bike ride are dispersed to the following organizations:
- Aledo Fire Department
- Hudson Oaks Fire Department
- Willow Park Fire/Rescue
- Parker County Sheriff’s Reserve
- Parker County Center of Hope
In addition, the Ride for Heroes bike ride supports various student clubs from Aledo High School and the Texas Bicycle Coalition (working for safer cycling in Texas).
