The Denton Breakfast Kiwanis Club invites you to the 44th Annual Turkey Roll Bicycle Rally. As the entities managing this event’s outreach, we are proud to highlight one of Denton’s longest-standing traditions. This ride is more than just a cycling event; it is a vital fundraiser that fuels community service projects, youth leadership programs, and literacy initiatives throughout North Texas.
The Turkey Roll is designed to be inclusive, welcoming riders of every age and skill level. Whether you are looking for a gentle family outing or a grueling endurance challenge, you will find a well-marked course and a community atmosphere that is second to none. The ride takes place rain, snow, or shine, embodying the hardy spirit of the cycling community.
Ride Distances & Routes
Six distinct routes are offered, all beginning and ending at Denton High School:
- 62-Mile Challenge Ride: The premier long-distance route for experienced endurance riders.
- 48-Mile Endurance Ride: A strong test of stamina through North Texas roads.
- 35-Mile Gravel Ride: A mixed-surface adventure for those who prefer backroads and grit.
- 34-Mile Scenic Ride: A mid-range challenge for active enthusiasts.
- 21-Mile Scenic Ride: A comfortable distance featuring scenic rural vistas.
- 8-Mile Family Ride: An approachable, fun route for beginners and casual riders.
Support and Logistics
The event is fully supported to ensure a safe and enjoyable day for everyone:
- Course Support: Support vehicles and volunteers are stationed throughout all routes.
- Rest Stops: Clearly marked stops are stocked with hydration and snacks to keep you fueled.
- Early Packet Pick-Up: * Thursday, Nov 19: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM at Denton Bicycle Center (1700 N. Elm St).
- Friday, Nov 20: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Denton High School.
- Day of Rally Pick-Up: Saturday, Nov 21: 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM at Denton High School.
