Honoring a Legacy of Resilience and Excellence on the Osage Prairie Trail
Date: Saturday, April 4, 2026
Location: Crossover Prep, 1010 E 36 St North, Tulsa, OK 74126
Event Information
The Major Taylor Cycling Club of Oklahoma (MTCCOK) proudly presents the annual Tulsa Flat, an event that is as much a community celebration as it is a cycling challenge. This ride honors the legendary Marshall “Major” Taylor, the first African American world champion in any sport. Known for his “indomitable courage,” Taylor broke racial barriers in the late 19th century, and MTCCOK carries this legacy forward by promoting health, sportsmanship, and inclusive cycling for all skill levels.
As contractors for this event, we are thrilled to highlight the 2026 format, which offers a “choose your own adventure” style of riding. The course is famously flat, making it the perfect venue for beginners to gain confidence or for veterans to chase a personal best. Whether you are aiming for a quick morning spin or the prestigious Wooden Major Taylor Plaque awarded to 100-mile finishers, you will experience a festive atmosphere filled with music, laughter, and high-energy support at the trailhead.
