Event Information
2026 marks the 22nd year for DUKE’S Tour de Cypress Bike Ride! Presented by the Rotary Club of Mount Vernon, this event offers a welcoming and scenic cycling experience on the shaded country roads and gently rolling terrain of East Texas. Known for its strong community involvement and excellent hospitality, this ride is the first event in the official Road to Hotter’N Hell Hundred series.
Your participation helps support the Mount Vernon Rotary Club’s local youth programs, including the Rotary Blessings in a Backpack, dictionaries for third-grade students, RYLA leadership camps, and other Franklin County youth endeavors.
Ride Distances & Terrain
The Tour de Cypress offers five routes designed to accommodate all skill levels, from families to endurance cyclists. The terrain is characterized by gently rolling hills with only one or two short, punchy climbs.

- 45 Miles
- 30 Miles
- 10 Mile Family Ride (flat and easy)
Rider Amenities & Benefits
The Tour de Cypress provides exceptional support and perks for registered riders:
- Support & Rest Stops: All five routes are well-marked and feature rest stops approximately every five to ten miles, offering water, snacks, and Excellent SAG support.
- T-Shirt Guarantee: Paid participants who register before April 1, 2026, will receive a TdC event t-shirt.
- Post-Ride Festivities: Paid participants receive a $7 meal coupon usable on ride day at various locations in Mount Vernon (including one at Lake Cypress Springs).
- Beer Garden: Paid participants 21 and over receive beer coupons good at the TdC Beer Garden, located on the town plaza, which also hosts live music and other post-ride activities.
- Youth Riders: Children 12 and under ride the 10-mile ride FREE with a paying adult.

- TdC is a Rain or Shine event.
