Event Information
The 2026 Hotter N’ Hell Weekend of Events, presented by Hotter’N Hell Hundred and Wichita Falls Streams and Valleys, is one of the oldest and largest cycling events in the nation. This multi-day festival of fitness and endurance attracts thousands of participants to North Texas for a series of road rides, off-road races, and community celebrations. Whether you are tackling the scorching 100-mile endurance ride or the technical trails of the Wee-Chi-Tah, this weekend is designed to test your limits in the heat of the Texas summer.
HHH Endurance Ride
Presented by the Wichita Falls Bicycling Club, the HHH Endurance Ride is the cornerstone of the weekend. The start line is located at 104 Scott Ave, Wichita Falls, TX 76301, with the official rollout scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026, at approximately 7:05 AM.
Riders will line up on Scott Avenue according to their distance and pace groups, stretching from 2nd Street to 10th Street. For your safety, it is vital to start behind the official start line. Rest stops are strategically placed approximately every 10 miles, offering snacks, superior electrolytes, water, and medical assistance. Please note that CPSC approved helmets are required, and the use of pets, headphones, or personal support vehicles is strictly prohibited.
Wee-Chi-Tah Dirt and Gravel Events
Presented by Wichita Falls Streams and Valleys, these events cater to off-road enthusiasts and trail runners.
Mountain Bike Races Located at the J S Bridwell Ag Center, 111 N. Burnett St. Friday, August 28, 2026: 8:00 AM: Novice, Junior, and Clydesdale categories. 10:00 AM: Cat 1, Cat 2, Single Speed, and E-Bike categories.
Gravel Grind Events Located at Wichita Falls Brewery, 701 Indiana Ave. Saturday, August 29, 2026: 7:05 PM: Featuring two distinct courses designed for all skill levels.
Trail Runs Located at the J S Bridwell Ag Center, 111 N. Burnett St. Sunday, August 30, 2026: 7:00 AM: Long Trail Run (approximately 12 miles) and 10K distance.
Multi-Event Challenges
For those seeking the ultimate test, several combined challenges are available:
- Chupacabra: Consists of the 100-Mile Endurance Ride plus the 42-Mile Gravel Grind.
- Triple Threat: Includes the Mountain Bike Race on Friday, the 100-Mile Endurance Ride on Saturday, and the Long Trail Run on Sunday.
- Quadzilla: The most demanding option, combining all Triple Threat events with the 42-Mile Gravel Grind.
Timing and Logistics
Chip timing will be provided by RunFarUSA for all advance registrations at no additional charge. Timing chips are required for the Wee-Chi-Tah Mountain Bike, Trail Run, and Triple Threat participants. These chips are disposable and do not need to be returned. Timing results for the Endurance Ride are typically posted by Sunday evening for all routes except the 10K.
Dining and Social Events
- Spaghetti Dinner: Hosted by the Chef at MPEC, featuring fresh green salad, Italian spaghetti with meat or meatless sauce, bread sticks, and tea or water. Tickets are $16 in advance or $18 at the door.
- Saturday Breakfast: Provided on-site at MPEC from 5:00 AM until 8:00 AM. The menu includes fruit salad, scrambled eggs, country fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, coffee cake, coffee, and orange juice. Tickets are $16 in advance or $18 at the door.
