Location: Baytown, Texas (Start and finish located at Lee College, 200 Lee Drive, Baytown, TX 77520)
Event Information
The 37th Gator Ride, Gear Up to End Hunger, invites cyclists to participate in a meaningful journey through the historic and industrial landscapes of Baytown. This long standing event is not only a highlight for the local cycling community but also serves as a critical fundraiser for Hearts and Hands of Baytown. Every mile pedaled helps provide essential meals and resources to families facing food insecurity, with all proceeds invested directly back into the community through various support programs.
This ride is officially recognized as an MS150 Additional Training Ride, making it an essential date for those preparing for the trek to College Station. Participants on the longer routes will experience the iconic Fred Hartman Bridge, providing breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Monument, and may even enjoy a trip on the historic Lynchburg Ferry. For those seeking a different experience, the 33 and 53 mile routes offer plenty of excitement on a more traditional course.
Ride Distances
The 37th Gator Ride offers five distinct route options to ensure that every rider finds a distance suited to their skill level and training goals:
63 Miles: The premier endurance route for seasoned cyclists featuring the Fred Hartman Bridge.
53 Miles: A challenging long distance option for those seeking significant time in the saddle.
43 Miles: An intermediate route designed for steady training and scenic views.
33 Miles: A moderate distance perfect for riders looking for a solid morning workout.
6 Miles: A short, family friendly route designed for casual participants and children.
Support and Logistics
Riders can expect a fully supported experience starting from the campus of Lee College. As an MS150 training ride, the event is managed with professional standards to ensure safety and quality for all participants. The various courses are well marked and supported by volunteers dedicated to the mission of eradicating hunger. Hearts and Hands of Baytown works tirelessly to remove the stigma of needing food assistance, and your participation supports their six pillar programs aimed at self sufficiency.
