My Favorite Gear:
A Kickstarter-funded small grass root start-up from the DFW metroplex has the goal to save your …. groin from the ‘saddle pain of cycling’. Yes, there are focused on making sure you have no numbness or damage to that soft tissue between your legs. Nuff said.
They do this via a ¾ drop in the saddle combined with an air cushion. The saddle the GodFather prefers is the ‘Halcyon’ saddle. Lightweight, functional and it just works. Take a look at their short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LC73LWspww&t=1s
Have you found a cool bike gadget? Something we should try out? Reply to the email and let the GodFather know!

Beer – Bourbon of the month:
In this WheelBrothers episode of us sacrificing our taste buds for your reading pleasure, we are introducing you to a true homegrown north Texas distillery with history!
While driving along the Blazin Saddles 75 bike route the GodFather saw the words ‘Sledge Distillery’ and just about lost his mind. What, a distillery is hidden here? 10 miles southwest of Granbury, Texas? Yeah, you all know how he likes his bourbon, so indeed a stop was made.
Sometimes a short video is worth a 1000 words so here is a short YouTube video to show you around with the rest of the story:
The GodFather had a bottle of the “Spirit of ‘42” and while it is 118 proof it is surprisingly smooth with a taste of Vanilla and Caramel. You really need to be careful with this one as it sneaks up on you. So on a scale from 1 to 5, this bourbon gets 5 bicycles!
If you are looking for a quick day trip, head on down to Granbury and stop by Sledge. Well worth the trip.
Bonus: They also had this tequila aged in their bourbon barrels! Delicious!
That’s it for now, thank you for following and supporting us!
