START, LOCATION & REGISTRATION: Saturday, June 8, 2013, 8:00 a.m. at the GATESVILLE CIVIC CENTER.
RIDE PACKET PICK-UP: Day of the ride, Saturday, June 8, beginning at 6:30 a.m. through 8:00 a.m.
COST: Prior to Saturday, June 1, $25.00. Late fee, postmarked AFTER June 3, and on-site $30.00.
RIDE ROUTES: 10-mile, 32-mile, 50-mile, and 100K (62.5 miles). All routes will be on paved county roads. WE REQUIRE ALL PARTICIPANTS TO WEAR HELMETS AND SAFETY GEAR. Sag Stations will be provided. There are no repair facilities on site. We also strongly urge all riders to carry water bottles during the ride. Sag Wagons will be patrolling all routes to assist riders, as needed.
FREEBEES: The first 200 to register will receive a courtesy packet with this year’s Fire-Ant 100K T-shirt. ALSO a free pass to City Fitness Center, to shower & change (bring your own towels), and to use the indoor pool. ALSO a free pass to the city’s outdoor swimming pool, downtown near Court House.
REST STOPS: Sag Stations will be placed at 10-mile intervals, and at the start-finish area. Porta-potties will be available at all Sag Stations. The COOKIE QUEEN of Gatesville will have her “world famous” homemade cookies at each Sag Station.
OVERNIGHT INFO: Limited camping and RV spaces are available at historic Faunt LeRoy Park, south of the Court House, $20 per night; make reservation with the Gatesville Police Department at (254) 865-2226. Motels: Chateau Ville (Best Western), Ramada Inn, Regency Inn, and Gatesville Inn (see ads on back of flyer). Additional information available at (254) 865-6265.
