About the Ride: On Saturday, June 4, 2011. The Tour will kickoff at 8:00 a.m. and riders will depart from Comanche High School for the various routes – 10 mile, 22 mile, 28 mile, 42 mile, 55 mile, and the granddaddy 75 mile.
Past events have allowed Comanche Main Street to fund Main Street Downtown Business Assistance Programs including architectural assistance, design guidelines, facade and signage grants downtown businesses, and other business and community activities.
Be sure to mark your calendar, as you won’t want to miss the 7th Annual Comanche Cyclone Bicycle Tour! You can now register for this year’s event by click on the “Register” link to the right. We hopt to see you there!
Rides of 10, 22, 28, 42, 55 & 75 miles. All on paved two-lane farm-to-market roads, and country highways with wide shoulders. The routes have some flat runs, long stretches with gradual inclines, and some hills that could be challenging for less experienced or less fit riders. Check the route information by using the”Ride Day Routes” tab at the top of the page.
Fully staffed Rest Stops will be strategically placed – with the riders’ comfort and safety in mind. There will be iced water, cold sports drinks, and a variety of snacks available to help “recharge your batteries.” Plus the necessary “relief” facility.
