Event: 2nd Annual Little Elm Lions Charity 25/55 Mile Bike Ride
Route Distances: 25 or 50 mile bike ride
About the Ride: Join us for a Sunday morning ride in the country, starting at the Providence Elementary School just off Hwy 380 going north on back roads for either a 25 or 50 mile bike ride. This is a charity event to raise money to assist one of Little Elm’s Finest acquire hearing aids for his 3 year old daughter. This will be an ongoing need for the rest of her life with the hearing aids having to be changed out every 3 years and the tubes every 6 months. Portions of your tax deductible donation of $25.00 pre -registration and $35.00 late registration will be earmarked for this purpose. The rest will go back into the community of Little Elm to support other residents and programs like the food bank, pre-K and K vision screenings, Box 620, and the library.
Mad Duck Cycling is one of our sponsors this year, they will be supporting us with their mobile mechanics garage. We will have Box 620 back with us this year manning two of the rest stops. Box 620 provides support to fire and police personell at major events and as paramedics they are the best qualified to assist our riders.
There will be sag wagons, rest stops, breakfast served by our Lions group, and raffle prizes. Each registrant will get one ticket toward a raffle prize. This year the grand prize will be an Origine “Cutler” Road bike valued at $350.00.
