The original Texas gravel grinder is back and better than ever. Amazing route options through the beautiful North Texas Hill Country and staging from the greatest venue in all of gravel. Thanks to our friends at Trek Dallas – Fort Worth, signup is FREE for Club Spinistry members through January 31st or 300 signups, whichever comes first.
Preliminary route options as mapped are:
125 Miles/6300 feet of climbing – This features two different loops of 100K each. Each loop starts and ends from the staging property so that riders can do a full reload/refuel at the midpoint. Routes will be marked and neutral water tables will be available as well.
80 Miles/4300 feet of climbing aprox. – Two different loops (TBD). Each loops starts and ends from the staging property so that riders can do a full reload/refuel at the midpoint. Routes will be marked and neutral water tables will be available as well. This option is untimed and allows the opportunity for riders to try a longer distance than they might normally attempt since full resupply/bailout is available approximately half way.
64 Miles Single Timed Loop/3600 feet of climbing: A classic, 100K single loop gravel race. Marked routes, neutral water tables.
60 mile double loop untimed: This one is also for riders who might be wanting to try something a bit longer than they would normally attempt. Two loops from the main staging area as well.
35 mile single loop: Don’t let the shorter distance deceive you. There will be some climbing along this route. It will probably feel more like 45-50 miles with a great party waiting for you at the end!
We will have a Group Location/Tracking page available for all participants. Tracking requires a (free) active account with our friends at Spotwalla. The account is free but there is a nominal fee (pennies per tracking day) for the actual tracking. Riders can use free phone apps and/or satellite trackers for tracking purposes. Live tracking is highly encouraged but not required.
All routes will be fully marked and we will provide GPS navigation files/capability to all registered riders. Water tables will be provided for all routes. Apart from course markings and water tables these routes are considered self supported. Riders must make their own transportation arrangements if unable to complete the routes for any reason. There will NOT be SAG support. Please call 911 in case of emergency.
All riders are expected to adhere to the Texas Transportation Code. All routes utilize public roads/property for their entirety. Please be aware of and courteous to all road/park/trail users. This is NOT a race. Recorded times are meant for individual reference/use for training purposes. We do ask that riders make us aware of any course deviations so that other participants might have proper and accurate times for evaluation purposes.
Projected/mapped routes are considered preliminary until they are marked and final on event week. Routes may require alteration for numerous reasons. Route files and online maps will be made available to registered participants the week of the event.
