Route Distances: 100 mile, 65 mile, 40 mile, 30 mile ride and 10 mile family fun ride around the Altus reservoir
About the Ride: The 4th annual Quartz Mountain Diamondback 100 bicycle ride will be held on August 6, 2011 in Altus, Oklahoma.
The ride will begin and finish at the Altus city reservoir. There will be a 100 mile, 65 mile, 40 mile and 30 mile ride through the scenic flatlands of southwest Oklahoma. There will also be a 10 mile family fun ride around the Altus reservoir.
The ride will begin at 7 am and will transit the communities of Altus, Martha, Mangum, Granite, Quartz Mountain State Park, Blair and Friendship.
All proceeds from this ride will be donated to Southwestern Youth Services, a private non-profit, state licensed youth service agency providing comprehensive community-based programs for children, youth and families. These services include Outreach and Counseling, Transitional Services, Adolescent Homeless Prevention, Emergency Youth Shelter Education Advocacy and Tutoring, Delinquency Prevention and Recreational Activities.
