About the Ride
On May 17, 2025, the Clifton Chamber of Commerce will proudly host the 13th Annual Bosque Tour de Norway. After a two-year hiatus due to a significant TXDOT project and flood damage affecting traditional routes, the event is back with new and exciting routes.
In 2022, this celebrated ride attracted over 650 participants from across Texas, showcasing the stunning landscapes of Bosque County and highlighting the rich Norwegian heritage of the region. Riders will pass through the historic Norse Settlement, the final home of Clen Peerson, the “Father of Norwegian Migration.”
This year, the event offers five route options to suit riders of all levels:
- 18 miles
- 30 miles
- 39 miles
- 47 miles
- 70 miles
The Bosque Tour de Norway is the second ride of the European Tour of Texas, a series that includes rides in Clifton, Italy, Muenster, and Paris, Texas. Initiated in 2016 by Brent Grelle, the series provides participants with a custom jersey to commemorate completing three of the four rides.
Support and Amenities
- Rest Stops: Located every 10 miles, offering food, beverages, shade, rest, and restroom facilities. Staffed by friendly local volunteers to ensure a positive experience.
- SAG Wagons: Support and Gear vehicles staffed by local cycling enthusiasts will be available throughout the ride for assistance.
Post-Ride Activities
After the ride, participants are encouraged to explore the charming town of Clifton. Enjoy the local shops, scenic sights, and delicious food and drinks, perfect for unwinding and celebrating your cycling journey.
