Tour du Rouge

Join us for the 17th Annual Tour du Rouge, a six-day cycling adventure from Houston, Texas, to New Orleans, Louisiana, benefiting The Arc, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Event Details

  • Dates: May 4–9, 2025
  • Total Distance: 540 miles
  • Average Daily Distance: Approximately 90 miles
  • Route: Scenic back roads along the Gulf Coast, passing through historic towns and landmarks

Registration and Fundraising

  • Registration Fee: $100 (non-refundable)
  • Fundraising Commitment:
    • 6-Day Tour: $3,500 minimum
    • 3-Day Tour (May 7–9, 2025): $1,500 for shared room; $2,000 for private room
  • Registration Limit: 150 riders

Rider Experience

  • Pace: Riders should be capable of maintaining a 15 mph average speed, including stops
  • Support: Fully supported with SAG vehicles, mechanical assistance, and first aid
  • Amenities:
    • Double occupancy hotel accommodations (single rooms available for an additional fee)
    • Meals provided: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
    • Rest stops every 20–25 miles with snacks and drinks
    • Post-ride massages
    • Transportation back to Houston, including bike transport

  • Day 1: Houston to Beaumont, TX – 94 miles
  • Day 2: Beaumont to Sulphur, LA – 92 miles
  • Day 3: Sulphur to Lafayette, LA – 100 miles
  • Day 4: Lafayette to Baldwin, LA – 67 miles
  • Day 5: Baldwin to Gonzales, LA – 98 miles
  • Day 6: Gonzales to New Orleans, LA – 80 miles

Safety Measures
