About the Ride: Sugar Cycles presents a ride through Texas Culture. The Annual Texas Dance Hall Ride will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Schulenburg, Texas. Multiple ride options include 30, 45 and 60 miles. This is a newly redesigned course, heading further north to La Grange Monument Hill. Cyclists will enjoy the rolling hills of Fayette County, while viewing historic Dance Halls and Painted churches. Rest stops will be provided every 7 to 10 miles at historic land marks. This is a great way to tour the Texas back roads and enjoy small town hospitality. There will be plenty of free parking the morning of the event. Restrooms and showers will be made available to all cyclists who attend. For more info on the ride and routes, please call (281) 565-0995.
The Art, Wine & Music Fest held in conjunction with Sugar Cycles’ 3rd annual Texas Dance Hall Ride will start soon after the 9am send off for family and friends waiting on the riders. The Festival includes street vendors, artists, and authors displaying their works, live bluegrass, cowboy and Texas swing music.. A tour of local businesses and wine tasting will make up this spring festival and activities will flow into the Dance Hall of your choice early in the afternoon.
