Date: September 1-30, 2021
Event: Spirit of Survival – Virtual
Route Distances: 25, 50, 75, and 100 miles
The 15th annual Spirit of Survival will look slightly different this year! It will take place, wherever you choose! That’s right, the Spirit of Survival has gone virtual!
The Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, 5K, and newly added Mt Scott Run can all be completed any time from August 1st – September 19th. You can complete your virtual event anywhere and in one outing or over a period of days or even weeks. There are four options for virtual bike events: 25M, 50M, 75M, 100M.
There are still two events that will take place in person. The 1 mile Spirit Walk geared towards survivors of cancer and their families will take place Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Elmer Thomas Park in Lawton, Oklahoma. We close out the afternoon with a 1-mile Kids’ Bubble Run, which is a great time for the whole family.
This event helps raise funds and awareness for those in our community affected by cancer. We have four Cancer Center locations throughout Southwest Oklahoma. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of sponsors and participants, we are able to provide clinical trials locally as well as fund our free transportation program, indigent programs, and low/no-cost chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the underprivileged.
Our website to register is www.spiritofsurvival.com. There is also information listed regarding event times and pricing. Participants have the option to have their packets mailed to them for a fee or pick it up locally for free.
