Pedal for a Purpose Bike Ride

Looking for a great way to get in some training miles before the 2023 BP MS 150? Come out to Boys and Girls Country’s Annual Pedal for a Purpose on Saturday, April 15, 2023. The fully supported ride will start and finish from Waller ISD Stadium in Waller, Texas, 45 miles northwest of Houston. This ride offers three different distances/routes on mostly country roads both south and north of Hempstead. Cyclists will encounter both flat sections and gentle rollers. All proceeds benefit Boys and Girls Country, a home for children from families in crisis.

Location: Waller ISD Stadium on Stokes Road at Waller Spring Creek Road, Waller, Texas, one mile north of Hwy 290. Take Waller Tomball/FM 2920 exit and take Stokes Road north off Hwy 290 feeder for approx. one mile to stadium.

Riders who register by March 17th are guaranteed a free cotton event t-shirt! We’ll order extras, but it will be first-come, first-served at packet pickup.

Starts: Staggered Ride Start begins at 7:30AM

Fees: $40 (Day of Registration – $50)

DAY OF REGISTRATION

Complete the registration process online including payment and waiver release.
Upon arrival at the stadium on April 15th, proceed to a registration table.
Show your registration confirmation screen to the attendant to obtain your bib number and finalize the check-in process.

Rider Safety Precautions

Route Safety

All riders must obey all state and local traffic laws
All riders must obey all Law Enforcement Personnel, Ride Officials and Volunteers
All riders must practice appropriate cycling and safety etiquette at all times during the event
All riders must wear a bicycle helmet
Headphones, cell phones, ear buds, radios and similar audio devices used in, on or around the rider’s head or ears are not permitted while riding (Tandem communication accessories are allowed)
